With the remarkable work of Make Mee Elegant Foundation, in partnership with The Salvation Army, in empowering women in Brampton, Canada. Last year, our foundation conducted free hands-on skills training for 200 women, focusing on valuable skills such as Adire, Kampala textile production, rhinestone embellishment, wig making, and shoe and bag creation.
This initiative, part of our Africa Made Economic Growth Initiative (AMEGI), aimed to alleviate poverty and empower African immigrants in Canada, and other communities enabling them to become self-sufficient. We were thrilled to provide start-up capital to the top 3 students, supporting their entrepreneurial endeavors.
Our goal is to encourage self-sufficiency through skill development, and we believe that with the right packaging and nurturing, African-made products can achieve international recognition. We are grateful for the support of the Mayor of Brampton, Patrick Brown.
